A look at former UChicago Alumni Club of Los Angeles' past president.

How long have you lived in Los Angeles (or the surrounding areas)?
I was born and raised in LA. I left for school a few times, but continue to return due to the unbeatable weather, friends, and family.

Where was your favorite place to study on campus?
The C-Shop, especially on Wednesdays for those $1-shakes.

The Los Angeles Times or Onion?
The Wall Street Journal

What activity would you recommend to those new to the area?
A picnic at the Getty Center

What is your favorite restaurant?
The Spot in Hermosa

What was your favorite class?
Hmm. Either Currie's Property class at the Law School or Thaler's Decision Making class at Booth.

Who was your favorite professor?
Hard question. So many greats! Probably Professor Heyrman who made me struggle through his Law and the Mental Health System class.

Why did you get involved with the Alumni Association and Volunteer Caucus?
I began volunteering to express my gratitude for the 4 critical educational years that changed my life.  That initial involvement evolved until I found myself President of the UChicago Alumni Club of LA. As a former president worried about efficient succession planning, I see how important it is to continue to cultivate new volunteers. I became the Regional Co-Chair of the 2014 Volunteer Caucus because it is important to help strengthen our alumni network, especially outside of Chicago.
